Licensed Insurance Sales Agent – Base Pay + Commission + Renewals
Customers First Insurance Group is growing, and we are looking for a motivated, people-focused Licensed Insurance Sales Agent to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a Michigan Property & Casualty license, or someone actively working toward getting licensed before starting. You do not need years of agency experience to be considered. If you have strong sales, retail, customer service, hospitality, banking, phone sales, automotive sales, or other people-facing experience, this could be a great career move.
We are an independent insurance agency, which means we are not limited to one company. We work with multiple insurance carriers to help clients compare options and find coverage that fits their needs.
Compensation
Expected first-year compensation range: $45,000 – $85,000 per year

What You’ll Do
As a Licensed Insurance Sales Agent, you will help individuals, families, and businesses understand their insurance options and choose coverage that fits their needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Speaking with prospective clients by phone, email, and in person
- Quoting and selling auto, home, umbrella, and other personal insurance products
- Developing referral relationships and local connections
- Following up with leads and prospects in a timely, professional manner
- Educating clients on coverage options, not just price
- Maintaining accurate notes and activity in our agency management system
- Working with our service team to provide a strong client experience
- Learning commercial insurance opportunities as you grow
Who We’re Looking For

- Any role where communication, follow-up, and trust matter
Licensing Requirement
A Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance License is required before starting employment in this role.
Candidates who already hold an active Michigan Property & Casualty license are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates who are not yet licensed may still apply, but must be willing and able to complete the licensing process before their first day of work.
Applicants must also be able to pass a background check and meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Michigan insurance license.
